Meme Krahe Yanetsko
I may be a newbie on Team HCH, but this cause has been part of my story for a long time.
My parents, Irene and Dave Krahe, were longtime supporters of HomeCare & Hospice. After losing my brother Matt in 1996 at just 33, they found their way through the grief by giving back. The Tree of Life became part of their healing — that first year, they didn’t just buy one ornament with Matt’s name… they bought about 20 so our whole family could hold onto him in a small, meaningful way.
After that, it became a tradition. Each year, another ornament for Matt, and many more for friends who were walking their own hard roads. My dad also faithfully walked in the Hospice Walk, often with my daughters in tow… while I was usually somewhere else working an event and pretending I wasn’t missing out.
So here I am now — finally showing up in a different way (and possibly questioning my cardio choices ??).
I’d be so grateful if you’d support me and Sullivan’s Crew. Every dollar raised helps provide comfort and care to hospice patients in ways insurance simply doesn’t cover — the extras that mean everything.
Thanks for being part of this with me <3
