One of our patients shared a simple but important need: a freezer. Their appetite had changed, and our patient could only tolerate frozen treats like ice cream and popsicles—comforts that brought them both nourishment and joy.
When hospice social workers heard his request, they immediately worked with the HomeCare & Hospice Foundation. The request was quickly approved, and our patient received a freezer to keep their favorite treats close at hand.
“It made my day to see the staff bring the freezer in and gave us a lot of laughs,” our patient shared.
